Lets say that you added the [client-portal] shortcode inside a page called Portal. If you would like to redirect your users, via a link, to their Private Page my suggestion would be to add inside the Ultimate Member dashboard a link like:
https://www.yourdomain.com/portal
Logged in users that access the Portal page will be redirect automatically to their corresponding Private page.
Another solution would be to use Profile Builder that can redirect users to their Private page using the redirect_url parameter inside the [wppb-register] shortcode.

Pls can I send a automatic post to my client, in the sense that, when they register or login, they will be able to see welcome message in their private portal page instead of blank portal page.
2. how can I edit the plugin by putting default message for all incoming new users?

Unfortunately we don’t have these features inside Client Portal. The dev team has these features in their to do list and in future updates these will be implemented.
Until then I don’t have a solution for you request.
