Admin console email server?

    hey guys

    where do i put the url FQDN for my email server to have emails relayed thru it or does my wp-admin console relay emails thru wordpres email server. I dont knowwhere to config my email SMTP server
    I have ahope email server i can have relay thru it so do i use the public FQDN or do I use the say IP address of my email server that
    both my blog and email server are on? thanks
