Error: Service Unavailable

    Hello,

    When I add the MailChimp API Key to the plugin, I receive the error: “MailChimp returned the following error: Service Unavailable.”

    I have already tried:

        Checking PHP CURL version (7.47+)
        Disabling/Re-enabling the plugin
        Adding functions.php code “add_filter( ‘mc4wp_use_sslverify’, ‘__return_false’ );”

    My host is, unfortunately, GoDaddy. The site is amp-ri.com. The form is in the footer. I’m running plugin v4.1.2.

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Could be your hosting IP is blocked, if you have SSH access, please try the advanced part at the bottom of this document:
    https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/

    that should give you a more detailed error message.

    FYI — the above solutions did not work for me (didn’t try the SSL Certificate one), and GoDaddy didn’t help.

    I was able to “solve” this by switching hosts to InMotion Hosting from GoDaddy. GoDaddy is just always ridden with problems for me 🙂 . Thanks!
