• So when my customers want to place an order on my web store, they are unable to proceed as it asks for “Billing State / County is a required field” while there has been no change at the back end.

    Can anyone help please… my developer is not helping me at all.

    can anyone help me out here… i am a completely hopeless case at the moment.

    Hi friend you have to make changes in function.php file so that your customers may be able to neglect that field.

    You must be having an function for billing state & country you just need to make it False.

    Is this your theme?

    Your theme Oswad is v1.3.1 but you need v1.3.2 for compatibility with WP 4.8 & WC 3.1, see the changelog:

    Its not possible to say if updating your theme will fix this problem but it something to try soon.

    @lorro,

    someone was doing it for me and i paid him a good amount for the same. Now for any changes, he is asking for more money which i am not interested in investing. Is there any way i can do it FREE and myself.

    To update your theme, you will need to logon to your theme vendor’s site. themeforest? If you don’t have a login, contact the theme vendor with proof of purchase. In the member’s download area, you should be able to download a zip of the latest version of your theme.

    You’ll need to read the theme documentation to find the update instructions, but usually this plugin can be used:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
    Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Add new theme > “Install theme” and pick the zip you downloaded earlier. The plugin can tell that you already have the theme and it will install the new one in place of the old.

    The majority of times this process is pain-free, but as a precaution, you should take a backup before upgrading.
