Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
If the collapse mode kicks in on desktop, the screen is actually not wide enough, from what I understand from the DataTables documentation.
Unfortunately, I’m not too familiar with the internals and can only suggest taking a look at the examples like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/defining-columns-to-collapse-1?replies=12 or https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/collapse-extension-breaking-point?replies=6
These offers options to define the breakpoints of when a column should collapse. Also, see https://datatables.net/extensions/responsive/classes

Thanks for the answer
The screen is wide enough. Because when I am viewing on Google Chrome the collapse is not active. It is only when viewing on Safari.
Why is that?

Hi,
when I view it on Chrome, the collapse is active. So, I can only assume that the width is right at the edge of turning on the collapse mode, and minor rounding issues between the browser decide.
As mentioned above, I’m not really good with the internal details of this and therefore can’t help with details, sorry 🙁

Tobias
No problem.
I think I will just fix it by making a desktop table and a mobile table 🙂
Have a great day!
Hi,
yes, that might also be a good idea 🙂
Best wishes,
Tobias
