    Hi @zrarc,

That error occurs when you have entered an incorrect value for the Merchant ID or Merchant Account ID.

On the plugin’s donation settings page ensure you haven’t entered your merchant ID where the merchant account value should be.

Also another common mistake that can cause this error is entering your merchant account value where the merchant ID should be entered on the API settings page.

Hi, you were correct in assuming the merchant account value was incorrect. Now I get the message: “Internal Server Error”. But the transaction did get registered in the Braintree panel.

    Hi @zrarc,

Can you check in your server’s error logs? That will provide a location where the exception was thrown that caused the internal server error. That info will aide in troubleshooting and identify the problem.

Please guide me to where I can find these error logs.

    Hi,

That depends on the server you are using. Here is an example if you are using Apache.

    https://askubuntu.com/questions/14763/where-are-the-apache-and-php-log-files

If you aren’t using Apache you can perform a similar search using a search engine such as Google.

This is the only error log that comes up, but it does not correspond to the time signature of transaction, but to the time when the page is loading.

I disabled the database cache in the W3 Total Cache plugin. This solves the error log reported in the last post. But the “internal server error” message still comes up when a user should be directed to the success page (Braintree registers transactions as successful).

    Hi,

Please look on the plugin’s homepage and you will see the support email.

In my experience WordPress does not like it when emails are provided in support threads.

    Thanks,
