It happened to me too! And I went so far as to reinstall 2.7.1 and wipe out all my old posts. Nada. Nothing!
This is really irritating…. I thought I could use WordPress as a real tool for professional blogging. Now I see there are more people suffering the same problem as I.
Could somebody please help us and tell how we can get the images to show and not just a place holder with text.

Upload by ftp and use a direct absolute link in the post. I have no such problems.

My problem is that sometimes my images will post and sometimes they won’t. I’ve cleared my cache, re-intalled Firefox from a zip file (Firefox is still launching slowly anyway). I’m not doing anything differently. Why doesn’t image posting work every time?
I’ve got it sorted out and thank you. The theme I uploaded was corrupt. I’ve added new ones and problem solved.
