# 10 Second Initial Load

 * I’m running three different websites from my server at my house all on the latest
   version of WordPress. For a while, it has been taking about 10.5 seconds to load
   initially, then, for a while, it will load the pages in less than a second. I’m
   not sure what is causing this! I have one line of code in my .htaccess file:
   `
   DirectoryIndex index.php index.html` I have tried deactivating plugins, tested
   MySQL speeds, set the website back to the default theme…….. Not much left for
   me to try! Here’s the 3 websites on my server:

   on your server
 * Access that in browser when site is slow; if HELLO is slow; then your host is
   slow AT THAT POINT IN TIME.

 * Please help! I have seen multiple posts about this so I’m trying to bring it 
   back to life since WordPress hasn’t helped at all!

 * I have see that the language file are keeping up the speed!!!
    If I exclude –
   > //define(‘WPLANG’, ‘nl_NL’); is’t fast again
