# 110 Error & HTTP Error during API request

 * My blog page is part of my website and is visible. I am trying to install new
   plugins and updates and get either of the following error messages:
    – An unexpected
   HTTP error occured during the API request. – Download failed: 110 connection 
   timed out.
 * I guess it is probably something simple but am not sure how to correct it as 
   I haven’t amended anything (to my knowledge!).
 * The connection problem is also affecting content to my Google Newsfeed and Tweet
   My Blog widgets.

 * Hi,
 * Check with these options:
 * -> Check the wp-contents permissions and it should be 766 recursively
    -> disable
   all the plugins and have a check with upgrade
 * If these are the options not working then you will have to do manually upgrade
   task for your wordpress..

 * I went to follow your recommendations and found that everything was running ok
   again after about 18 hours of working incorrectly.
