Couldn’t write to: …/wp-content/cache/wp-cache After Upgrade to WP 2.3

    This is the error message I’m getting after the upgrade to WP 2.3:

    Couldn’t write to: /home/nudefans/public_html/beersteak/wp-content/cache/wp-cache-8f3ea86427c832d4039cc59f4cb59f54.html

    I have followed all steps of the upgrade properly. I can access my wp-admin area, only the blog itself doesn’t load but displays this error message.

    Help me please :o)

    fix your permissions on that directory:

    /home/nudefans/public_html/beersteak/wp-content/cache

    if fixing that dir doesn’t do it, you may need to go one higher

    /home/nudefans/public_html/beersteak/wp-content/

    Try these permissions, in this order: 600, 660, 666

    Just in case. Setting it to 777 is a security issue. Of course, so is 666, but hey, go with the lowest number that works. 🙂
