Is there a news ticker style plugin?

    Hi there,
    I wondered if there was a news ticker program that can display, say, the newset 5 posts. I thought it would be quite handy if a news ticker could show the 5 post titles one at a time with the date.
    Here is an example of what I mean just under the main image – http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/default.asp
    Anyone?

    Almost the worst site in the UK to pick – it supports IE and IE ONLY.
    I – a Firefox user – see this there:
    “You have been redirected to the accessible version of the site as you are using a browser that is not currently supported on the graphics site.”
    Anyway, have you considered using an RSS reader with frequent updates ?

    If you can find javascript, etc. to do the ticker, there are lots of options for getting a set of posts (latest 5, latest within a category, etc.).

    I was irritated by the lack of choice of news-tickers, while my clients really really really *really* wanted one. So heres one, a nice and simple news-ticker...
    It’s not perfect, but it’s a good start. If someone wants to wire up a plugin for wordpress I’d be interested to see it.
