# 2-Factor Authentication

 * I am new to WordPress and we would like to set up 2-factor authentication at 
   login. From google I can see its possible from the core and we have the latest
   version 5.9.3 but I cant seem to find the security option in order to set this
   up. Can anyone provide some instructions on how to enable it (wither SMS authentication
   or using authenticator app)?

 * Where are you seeing this?
 * WordPress core doesn’t have any 2FA built in (only application passwords). You
   either have to use any of the available plugins, or code your own.

 * It was on google somewhere under the security tab.
 * Which 2FA are the most reliable and best supported would you say? Its like a 
   lucky dip with all those options!

 * That’s wordpress.com, not core wordpress from wordpress.org. Use a plugin. I 
   use either “Google Authenticator” or Wordfence.
