# 2.0 loop

 * I currently have WordPress 2.0 (plus most recent security upgrades) and I would
   like to incorporate it into my site [http://jeranon.com/](http://jeranon.com/)
   
   The problem is that the instructions for using the loop are for up to version
   1.5, and I have (unsuccessfully) tried to use this to display my blog, but it
   doesn’t work. Does anyone have the php for how to do this? The blog itself is
   found @ [http://jeranon.com/blog](http://jeranon.com/blog) and I would like to
   incorporate the blog into the page and style of [http://jeranon.com/pages/blog](http://jeranon.com/pages/blog)
   As for my experience, I have no php experience, so please be as basic and as 
   thorough in your explanations as possible. Thank you!

 * Your best bet to to learn from example. Look at the default theme that comes 
   with WordPress. It has working loops in it.

 * I’m not an expert, but I am fairly confident that the Loop won’t have changed
   from 1.5, it seems to me that it’s too simple.
 * It’s a good idea to learn about the PHP code on which the Loop is based (i.e.
   the `while`, `if ... else`, language constructs). That way you’ll better be able
   to modify them for your own needs.

 * The Loop hasn’t changed between v1.5.x and v2.0.x. Very little when it comes 
   to themes has.
