 * Greetings,
    Using Twenty eleven I’d like to be able to set a different header
   image for a category of pages, under one parent page. Any simple edits?
 * Thanks a bunch,

 * For starters, do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress
   3.2 theme and having access to an **unedited** version of the theme is vital
   when dealing with a range of site issues.
 * For this reason, it is recommended that you consider [creating a child theme for your customisations](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
   Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

 * love this annoying auto-responder about child themes.

 * I can only guess that you weren’t around to witness the Great Howling after 3.0.1(
   or thereabouts) when people packed the forum complaining that the WordPress core
   update had over-written their customised Twenty Ten theme. Since then, there
   has been a conscious effort to stop that happening and to warn people whenever
   possible. It’s now considered official policy that no one should be amending
   the current default theme. FWIW, it does seem to be having an effect. I’m seeing
   more child themes being created – which has to be a Good Thing.

 * Sure, but can you help me with my question?
 * How to have other header images without ditching the nifty header image interface?

 * When you have a child theme. I’d be happy to take a look at it for you.

 * Good morning, I’ve had a child theme in place, before I began this thread.
 * Big picture, is it possible to use the Twenty Eleven header feature to have multiple
   headers, perhaps connected with page templates? Or am I better off removing it
   to get what I want?
 * Thank you,

 * You’d need to either remove it or add your custom code as part of an if/else
   block.
