# 2.3.2 404/500 Errors

 * I’m just recently done an install of 2.3.2. I’m getting 404 and Internal Server
   Errors when trying to add a category.
 * The Apache logs show this:
 * 76.198.202.97 – – [04/Jan/2008:09:02:56 -0500] “GET /wp-admin/categories.php 
   HTTP/1.1” 200 5979 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11)

 * When I add a category, this is the error that I get:
 * Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, [webmaster@ficklefoodie.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/232-404500-errors/webmaster@ficklefoodie.com?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
    Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/
   2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.5 Server at [http://www.ficklefoodie.com](http://www.ficklefoodie.com)
   Port 80
 * I’ve tried the mod_security fixes that have been posted, but still getting the
   errors.
 * Any suggestions?

 * Well I updated to the current version of wordpress yesterday. The blog was fine
   untill now and now it says for categories – “No categories”. I can see the list
   of categories under Manage and also under Write tab but it is not listed under
   Category. Not sure who to fix it.
