• My 2.5 upgrade went very bad, and I need help.

    I attempted the upgrade last Saturday morning, and it went as far as upgrading the database and logging in. I had serious problems with themes and plugins, so I decided to revert to 2.3.3.

    On the first login after I reloaded 2.3.3, it required me to upgrade the database again. Strangely, it wouldn’t accept my password that time; I had to have it reset.

    Today with a newer theme I reloaded 2.5. The blog looks and works fine from a user perspective (http://www.thinkingchristian.net). But I can’t log in to any admin pages. It redirects the URL to http://www.thinkingchristian.net/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php, and returns a 500 Internal Server Failure.

    Some info from the MySQL database:
    – There are no active plugins (the value on that MySQL row is a:0:{ }).
    – The current database version is listed as 6124
    – update_core reads, O:8:”stdClass”:5:{s:12:”last_checked”;i:1207136358;s:15:”version_checked”;s:3:”2.5″;s:8:”response”;s:6:”latest”;s:3:”url”;s:30:”http://ww.wp.xz.cn/download/”;s:7:”current”;s:3:”2.5″;}
    – uploads_use_yearmonth_folders: I inadvertently edited this. Is there a setting I should do directly in the database?
