# 2.8 automatic upgrade problems

 * HI – like others I clicked on automatic upgrade and it said “upgrade completed”
 * now when i go to the site it says
 * Warning: main(/home/content/j/s/h/jsheen/html/blog/wp-includes/compat.php): failed
   to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/j/s/h/jsheen/html/
   blog/wp-settings.php on line 246
 * Warning: main(/home/content/j/s/h/jsheen/html/blog/wp-includes/compat.php): failed

 * I went in and manually upgraded wordpress, but still nothing.
 * Help?

 * the “includes” folder wasn’t installed and that was what was causing the probelm

 * Fixed my website! Yay! Went to godaddy, clicked “upgrade to WP 2.7.1”. Wait. 
   It is now all good! – WordPress 2.8 – Never again!

 * I just upgraded automatically to 2.8 and the theme changed, lost the menus and
   pages and remove the CB rotation ads
    Wish I hadn’t, should’ve stayed with the
   version I was on!

 * Just upgraded to 2.8. “Preview” doesn’t work and cant use html editing option
   at ALL !! Don’t know what else yet. Somebody please help. This is part of how
   I make a living.

 * Just found an easy to use rollback to 2.7.1. This lady is a lifesaver!! I followed
   the instructions carefully and everything works GREAT!. If you messed up too 
   check the page out it works:
