Install WP 2.8 locally on mac using MAMP

    I followed the tutorial guide to install WP 2.8 locally on my mac,using server MAMP. But experiencing problem when runing install.php.

    After copying “http://localhost:8888/mysite/wp-admin/install.php” into my browser,nothing happened but a blank white page.

    Tried couple of times,it’s all the same.when I change the address to “http://localhost:8889/mysite/wp-admin/install.php”,it asked me to save the install file. I did, but when open it,Adobe GoLive launched with these random codes “4???
    5.0.41?)???@uQsmJjU?,¢??????????????Nc,L{J=1{=\7???ÿBad handshake”    ….I’m stuck….
    I did extracted wordpress docs in the right folder(htdocs).
    Please help me,thanks.
