# 2FA authentication error

 * I have Version 7.4.14 installed, the server time on the page and that of my phone
   seem identical but I still get the error message. I’m trying to use the Google
   Authenticator and I scanned the QR code from my login security page. What else
   can I try?

   and sorry to see you’re having some trouble with 2FA.
 * Do any of your recovery codes allow access to confirm whether the problem is 
   with your server/authenticator device, or are you unable to set up 2FA altogether
   due to the confirmation code required to switch the feature on immediately failing
   after scanning the QR code?

 * In the end, I did succeed in activating – by typing the number under the QR code
   instead of scanning it…
