 * Hi there,
 * I am experiencing a problem with 2FA authenticator,
    I have 2 accounts and none
   of them works with the 2FA.
 * CODE INVALID: The 2FA code provided is either expired or invalid. Please try
   again.
 * Until yesterday it was working like a charm.
    Besides I have tried to use the
   recovery codes but they are not working.
 * WHat can I do?
 * Cheers

 * Hi [@gamma42](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gamma42/),
 * Sorry to see you’re having problems with this. If you were able to originally
   register 2FA and use it successfully it means your authenticator app and server
   were in-sync at some stage otherwise 2FA couldn’t even be activated. The fact
   that it’s stopped means the time may have altered so it could be worth checking
   in with your host to see if something has changed without your knowledge there.
 * If that yields no answers, I’ll provide instructions here on how to easily regain
   access to your site:
    - Please use FTP/SFTP — or any file manager your web host provides via their
      administration panel.
    - Look inside the **/wp-content/plugins/** directory and rename the **wordfence**
      directory to **wordfence.bak**. This will deactivate Wordfence and allow you
      to login without the 2FA code.
    - Once you have logged in to your WordPress admin you can name the folder back
      to **wordfence** again.
    - Go to your user profile and add 2FA back to your account, making sure to download
      the backup codes in case of problems in the future.
 * If you have any other trouble logging in or use Wordfence Central, feel free
   to reach out here.
 * Thanks,
 * Peter.
