 * So for the past couple weeks, the 2FA I use on the admin login for my site isn’t
   sync’d. I’ve found the site is a couple cycles behind the Google authenticator
   on my phone. I just keep trying the code and it’ll login eventually (usually
   after the phone cycles the code a couple times). I did the time sync thing on
   the phone in Authenticator settings. Same problem. Anyone have any thoughts?

 * The 2FA has had a sync “delay” for at least a year, in that the first time the
   code is input has about a 20% chance of acceptance, and the second attempt usually
   100%. It’s definitely a timing issue, because the first attempt code will work
   for the second attempt if within the one minute code lifetime window.
 * As of yesterday, the situation has deteriorated significantly in that many repeated
   attempts were made to log into my multiple sites, and I’ve yet to get into two
   test sites. (“ERROR: Invalid login credentials”) As a result, I’ve disabled 2FA
   where I could get logged in.
 * One of my test sites is now locked in a loop wherein it does not advance to the
   second page that asks for the 2FA code. Rather, the site just loops on the primary
   login page (asking for user name, password, and  the math CAPTCHA), flagging
   the “ERROR: Invalid login credentials” message.
 * Presumably, something changed in the server environment that triggered this issue;
   but, I’ve not yet isolated the cause.

 * Hi [@dakota951](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dakota951/),
 * If I cross-check for my 2 sites there is not issue and TFA codes are synced.
 * I will keep eye on this issue and if found any thing will let you know.
 * Make sure Google > Authenticator app has Settings > Time corrections for codes
   is synced using Sync now.
 * Regards

 * Hi,
   Can you also make sure that the time on your device and server are both correct
   and in sync with each other.Best Wishes,Ashley
