Hello Crosspick,
Hmm first of all, I saw some email from Disqus telling that you answered my answer on the meowapps.com website, but I can’t find them ! Did you deleted them ?
As I said on the meowapps website, it’s the browser who decides what image to display ( in which resolution ), however, in this version, there is an issue preventing the browser to load images larger than the “medium” size, maybe that’s why you have a not crisp looking image, even on a retina display ?
Could you try to do a “right-click” > “copy the image url” on the image in the lightbox ? Depending on your device it might change ( this is the interest of the responsive images ).
The new version is coming next week, as we will finalize everything with Jordy on Monday or Tuesday.
I think this new version should fix your issue, if I understood it correctly.
Best regards,
Thomas
Hello Thomas,
strange, do not know what happened, also i can see only one reply from you.
Jordy told me to post the issue here, that is why i did twice, sorry.
I try to explain again. I have 2 images each for my galleries, the normal size and the double size (@2x), one for retina displays and one for not retina displays. Everything works fine so far. I have a fixed dimension for my images, e.g. 600 x 600px, which are displayed in exactly that size on non retina displays. On retina displays the correct identical @2x image is displayed, but not in 600 x 600px instead in 1200 x 1200px.
I just want to know if i can display the @2x image half size to get it sharp on 5K displays. I can change the image size in the css file but then it is not centered anymore.
Just want to let you know that everything works fine now, thank you.
