This is not that.

A 3 col layout – as seen in the other thread about users 🙂 )
Nor is that this…(????) Anyway, thanx for the link. Do you know of any urls where I could see the actual layout? The sample is no longer on the pinksocks website. Also, if you don’t mind one more question, I have noticed that a lot of blogs have very narrow cols with lots of blank background space to either side. Can this be edited in the template?

That’s the one. Thanx this and that (or is that that and this?) So is it possible to have the blog expand to fill the entire browser window, eliminating the flanking backgrounds? Sorry if these questions are obvious to most but I’m still trying to learn some basic stuff before I attempt to put a blog up.

David,
it is possible to do that, it is done in the css. i think, the size is set up in the class call body. I used top style lite to look at my css file, it comes in handing when you trying to get something done locally in your computer.

Well I always prefer to work in a GUI because as a “coder’ I am flying by the seat of my pants! But $80 seems like a lot to spend to edit one CSS. Is there any way to edit the CSS to accomplish the following?
A) Make the left and right cols. a fixed width:
B) Make the center col. “fluid” and
C) Eliminate the background so that the browser window is filled as in the page:

I hope this is not asking too much!
Thanx

David,
the lite version of top style is free, the reason i mention is because it is good to look at preview of your css file. Second, to learn how the css can be change check this out http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/graphicalcss/ and it will answer your question.
thanks
