Site Disappeared after Upgrade

    I was trying to do a “reinstall” and did it as an “upgrade (see prior topic). First I did a backup database and then followed the tutorial instructions at http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Upgrade_1.2_to_1.5

    Somehow I must have fouled it up because the site (http://www.worshipnaked.com) has COMPLETELY disappeared after I ran upgrade.php even though everthing seemed to go well.

    What can I do? Should I just install the whole dang thing over again as a new install and then import my old database in? If so, how do I do that? (I know how to install the site since I use cPanel and Fantastico and it’s a one-button process but have NO CLUE how to get the database imported.) I have totally fouled this up and it’s not even my site — I created it for a friend and suspect she’s rather losing patience at this point and thinking fondly of her “blogger” days! UGH.
    Help??

    It seems some files are missing? Re-upload the WP files?

    Go to /wp-admin/, login, go to the Presentation menu, and select Default Theme. Any change?

    I’ve done that …. nope … if it is a file missing problem, I can’t imagine what problems it could be since I downloaded and reinstalled the latest version from the ww.wp.xz.cn website.

    macmanx … I can’t login to the site … there IS no site … when I go to http://www.worshipnaked.com there is simply a blank page. The only thing I can do is add or delete files via my FTP program … or change the content of files from my editor and FTP them up to the web. I’m really panicked here.

    Should I do a fresh install and try to import the OLD database into the new site? But if I do that, I have no clue how to import the old info and based on how I seem to have made bad situations REALLY bad so far … I’m really getting upset.

    Go to http://www.worshipnaked.com/wp-admin/ Then login and switch to the Default Theme.

    Whew!! Oh BLESS you. I seriously have been panicking. The site showed up. Whew. Now time to upload the theme and see how everything else works. THANK YOU BOTH alphaoide and macmanx

    And thanks from me, too. I won’t even tell you how dumb the move i made was, but this fixed the problem.
