4.0 Breaks Exclude Posts Functionality

    Hi Ajay,

    Thanks for a great plugin – IMO, the best on the market, by far. Upgraded to v 4.0 and now all posts display in the related posts widget – even those that have been excluded from displaying in related posts. Rolled back to 3.6.2 and we’re good.

    Please take a look and fix this in the next release.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the kind words. Is it just the normal widget that you added in which you’re seeing this problem?

    I think there might be a bug but I need to narrow this down.

    The problem is with both the widget and shortcode. It started with 4.0 and persists with 4.0.1.

    To confirm, I have this fixed now in my GitHub repository.

    I am investigating another potential issue. I’ll aim to release a bug-fix version this week.

    In the meantime, if you would like to urgently make a change and are also comfortable editing the files, you can make the edit (which is a line) in class-crp-core-query.php, as you can see in the link above.

    Thanks, Ajay, I will wait for the official version when it is released. No rush from our side because we have rolled back to 3.6.2 so the production site is working as expected.
