# 404 Error when write ‘xhtml’ word

 * Hello,
 * I have a problem with custom post types created via Custom Post Type UI and the
   word “xhtml”.
    When I write the word “xhtml” in title of custom post or any other
   custom field in it I receive 404 error and nothing saved to database.
 * But I can create standard post or page with this word without problem or can
   use it in any custom field.
 * In the same time there is no such problem at local server, and maybe it’s a problem
   in some server settings, but standard wordpress post types do not have this problem.
   Maybe I can solve this problem by changing some settings in post types created
   via Custom Post Type UI?

 * This is only when used as part of the title, or a meta field?
 * Can you provide an example title that you’re trying to use this with?
 * This is a brand new issue I have never heard of before, so I can’t say for certain
   about any type of solution. At the moment, I can’t think of any setting for CPTUI
   that would change/affect this at all, since we don’t have any influence at all
   regarding titles or custom fields for posts.

 * This happens every time when I use it in a title or in meta fields.
 * I used some links that contain the “.xhtml” code in one of my meta field.
    And
   if I just make title of the post like “xhtml” i have this issue. Same things
   with any meta field in post at custom post type.

 * Will see if I can recreate at all to at least provide some guidance on what to
   check next, but I have a feeling it’s either server-specific somehow or something
   coming in from WP core itself.

 * Ok.
    I have this issue on 2 websites on Namecheap hosting. And have no issue
   at another one hosting and local server. So it’s evidently server-specifics.
   But it’s interesting that this does not affect standard WordPress post types.

 * For more information on diagnostics, can you visit one of the sites where this
   is an issue, and visit [https://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cptui_tools&action=debuginfo](https://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cptui_tools&action=debuginfo)
   with your actual domain filled in. There should be a small text field underneath
   that larger textarea where you can email that information to someone. Please
   send it to [michael@webdevstudios.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/404-error-when-wright-xhtml-word/michael@webdevstudios.com?output_format=md)
   so that I can check things over. There should be no personal identifying information
   included, so there’s nothing to worry about there.

 * It was a problem with mod_security settings, it trigered on “xhtml” word. After
   disable some rules all works fine.
 * Thank You for help.
