Title: 404 Errors Using Scheduled Post Updates Last modified: November 12, 2018 --- # 404 Errors Using Scheduled Post Updates * [lsilver](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lsilver/) * (@lsilver) * [8 years, 1 month ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/404-errors-using-scheduled-post-updates/) * I see there’s another thread about 404s but my use case is a little different. * We use a plugin to schedule post updates (both Tao Scheduled Updates and Revisionise). * With either plugin, when we schedule a post update the underlying post results in a 404 error. * This only happens on posts where we’re using a custom permalink. * If I deactivate the Custom Permalinks plugin, it works just fine. * It is clearly an issue with Custom Permalinks. Everything worked as expected. * I then added a different custom permalink manager and went through the same test as above. Everything worked as expected. * Your plugin has been on this site for awhile, and there were no problems with it until the recent update. * My only conclusion, supported by others experiencing 404s, is that something is different now and it’s introduced a rather serious bug. * Happy to have you help and login for yourself. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything.
