# 404 error/site url/admin/no database access

 * Hi Everyone:
 * I have the case of mistakenly changing the site url (like some has in this forum)
   and can no longer access the admin page. I browsed through the solutions, but
   the issue is that I don’t have access to the site’s root files/database/host.
   The site is a school club site that got transferred to me and no one knows who
   has the login to the aforementioned files. Therefore all the suggestions 1) [http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL](http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL)
   2) [http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/)
   doesn’t help as much.
 * I just want to change back to the old url. The site is [http://babsonmarketingcasecompetition.com/2011/](http://babsonmarketingcasecompetition.com/2011/).
   I originally wanted to change it to [http://babsonmarketingcasecompetition.com](http://babsonmarketingcasecompetition.com)
   and that obviously didn’t work.
 * Is there anyway I can just revert back to the old setting without having to desperately
   figure out how to access the root files?
 * Please help! I’m a newbie. =-(
