 * Hi there,
 *
   For a few weeks now I have been having a problem with 404s redirects. Hundreds
   of them appear every day, all created every few minutes. We don’t know how to
   remove them or prevent it from happening. We have contacted our hosting and they
   tell us that there is no type of malware affecting our website, but they still
   do not stop appearing. How could we solve it? These redirects make no sense,
   because they take the wp-content/ folder or plugins that we do not have installed,
   the website’s telephone number… we do not understand what could be happening
   Thank you

 * By a 404 redirect do you mean just a 404? A 404 and a redirect are different
   things.
 * If you have lots of 404s appearing in your 404 log and they make no sense for
   your site then the best thing is just to ignore them. They are random bots making
   requests to your site. You can’t stop them and don’t need to remove them.

   In the plugin redirect, in the 404s tab. I’m referring to those links. We have
   seen that it is not causing problems on the web, but does it affect positioning
   in any way? We see in almost all of them, the user agent is the following: Mozilla/
   5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)

 * You need to decide if the 404s are valid (requests from broken links), or 404
   spam (random bots probing your site).
 * If the 404s are from broken links then you should fix those links so the 404s
   don’t happen.
 * If they are bots then ignore them. They do not affect your site and are not worth
   any effort.
