Hey y’all! I’m running into 406 errors when trying to save new or update existing Select fields. Mod Security is turned off for this domain (partpurple.com).

    Error 406 – Not Acceptable

Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.

It’s a recent development, but I’m not sure exactly when it started because I’m not working with APF regularly. So far it’s only happened to me when dealing with the Select fields in this plugin. I can change a field to Select but then I can’t change it back. :-/ Any thoughts?

    Hi @g33kg0dd3ss

I think your host must have a “sql injection “ filter (or something similarly named) that throws a false positive because of the word “select”. Please check in your hosting panel or contact them to turn off.

Ah, I’ll get in touch with them then and update!

…I was in the middle of typing a message to my host. I go to do the same thing I’ve been doing for the last day and now, everything works. I’m not sure if it was something with me turning Mod Security back on and off again, or if the host saw something in their logs and tweaked a setting somewhere.

Seems to be working for now! This is me, not looking a gift horse in the mouth!

I love it when problems magically solve themselves! 🙂 Easy fix for me!
