# 4.4 Installation Issues

 * Hi,
 * I’ve tried to do the ‘one click’ installation with 4.4, but get this error code:
 * _The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.
 * I then attempted a manual update (I haven’t done this before, so I used the extended
   instructions) and nothing happened. At all. I know this isn’t much to go off,
   but I don’t know what else to say – it’s like I did nothing.
 * Any ideas where I even start? Thanks!
 * (also, I have cleared the cache too!)

 * Manual installation is not much hard as you think, I will try to make it simple
   for you.
 * 1: Download the installation package from [https://wordpress.org/download/](https://wordpress.org/download/)
 * 2: The downloaded file will be in compressed format, so extract it.
    3: Now upload
   the extracted to the document root of the website. 4: Create MySQL database, 
   user name and password. You can use PhpMyAdmin to create those.
 * 5: Update the database name, username and password in wp-config.php file located
   under root directory of the WordPress.

 * I can’t get the plugins to install, and the themes allso give me an error.
    WP
   complains about an unexpected error and something that is roughly translated 
   to couldn’t get a secured connection with wordpress.org below that it says /var/
   www/WP-user/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 158
 * I assume this is not a permissions problem??
    Because i started the whole process
   over again and this time i made the WP user a superuser on the system
 * I use Php 7.0.1-dev
    on a Linux webserver 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-
   ckt11-1+deb8u5 (2015-10-09) x86_64
 * When i sftp into the server i can extract the (the manualy downloaded) plugin
   into the proper directory and it shows as a plugin in WP
    However this is not
   a very user friendly solution
