# 4.6 Upgrade Update-Core.php File Missing?

 * I have updated three different web sites now from WP 4.5 to WP 4.6. directly 
   from the Update Now button on the dashboard.
 * Upgrade appears to install correctly, but instead of getting the final “Pepper”
   page, I’m getting an error message like the following:
 * Firefox can’t find the file at [http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/update-core.php?action=do-core-upgrade](http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/update-core.php?action=do-core-upgrade).
 * Fortunately, when I back out of that screen to the Dashboard, WP 4.6 DOES appear
   to be installed and running correctly. Or is it?
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 * Just to be sure, try:
    – switching to the default 2016 theme.
 * – deactivating **all** plugins.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder and the
   wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a **fresh** download of WordPress.
   Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the
   new ones.
 * – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
