# 500 errors with xmlrpc

 * I’ve been having issues with posting through Marsedit. I think the problem lies
   in my xmlrpc file, if you try to get to it: [http://allthatanda.com/xmlrpc.php](http://allthatanda.com/xmlrpc.php)
   you get a 500 error, the same error I’m getting when I try to post.
 * I have the xmlrpc check in settings and my host (1&1) says that it’s a WordPress
   issue.
 * Any ideas?

 * Found out it’s a php5 issue?
 *     ```
       AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
       AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php
       ```
   
 * adding that to my .htaccess file forced php5 and solved the issue
