Today the website was showing a 500 internal error and I couldn’t do anything on the website. After uninstalling the plugin from the website it works as usual. Any ideas of why this occurs? Same problem occurred with me 3 times. Whenever I activate the plugin, my site went down giving internal server error 500. I do not know why this error came. But solution is, when your site went down, simply go to cpanel and rename your .htaccess file. Your site will work again. Then generate new .htaccess file by saving pearmalinks. Then you can delete renamed .htaccess file and no need to uninstall plugin. Typically, the problem actually lies outside of WordPress itself.
