• Hey guys I’ve encountered a problem where I can’t access wordpress on my website at all. The website is still up and running fine but every time I try to log into WordPress on the site it gives me a “500 Interenal Server Error” This happened immediately when I tried to activate Jetpack onto my website.

    After looking at the Error Logs on my website control panel I found this.

    20130708T142355: roflbooks.com/mysql_connect.php
    PHP Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user ‘alfred’@’boscustweb0802.eigbox.net’ (using password: YES) in /hermes/bosoraweb185/b760/ipg.roflbookscom/mysql_connect.php on line 2

    I’m fairly new to wordpress and the world of coding and whatnot so I have no clue what to do in order to fix it. The email in that error code is my friends that tried helping me with the website a while back. Is there anyway to get rid of this error of find a way to alter the user to my user name? Thanks again for the help!

  • this would tell me that you have a db connection issue.

    First check that your db config (host, db name, password, user ) in wp-config.php are correct.

    then if they’re right, try removing jetpack. log in to your server and just delete the whole plugin directory /wp-content/plugins/jetpack

    try logging in again.

    if not call your hosting provider and see if they can help because it sounds like a db issue

    There is no “mysql_connect.php” in WordPress. I think you have some other code on the site that is broken or otherwise interfering with it.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Kindly give solution as soon as possible.

    Help!

    My client attempted an upgrade to WP 4.1.1. I believe this was attempted from inside of WordPress.

    The site looks ok, and functions fine, but we cannot login. Going to /wp-admin/ gives a 500 Internal Server Error.

    I’ve tried:

    * removing the .htaccess file
    * replacing .htaccess with a clean version of the file
    (nothing is custom in this file)
    * renaming the plugins directory
    * disabling all plugins in the database via php admin
    * renaming the theme directory
    * adding a php.ini allowing more memory

    NOTHING worked.

    I need another suggestion… help!
