 * Hi, when I try to post comments on my blog, i get a 500 Internal Server Error.
   It does not do this on my local instance, and it only does this when posting
   without being logged in.
 * I didn’t want users to have to create an account just to post a comment, so I
   turned off “Anyone can register” and “Users must be registered and logged in
   to comment” in Settings->General. I then turned on the moderation options under
   Settings->Discussion (approving a comment before it is actually displayed).
 * Like I said, it works on my local instance, just not on the actual server. Tried
   switching themes to the default, but that didn’t seem to work either. I don’t
   have an .htaccess file, so I don’t think that would be causing any problems.
   Have the permissions on all of my wp-* files set to 644.
 * Any ideas? Thanks

 * I’m having the same issues… What is the fix?

 * i ended up having to do a clean install. here’s what i did:
 * 1. exported a backup from wordpress
    2. deleted my database 3. deleted my wordpress
   installation 4. created a database with the same name as the old one 5. reinstalled
   wordpress 6. imported my backup
 * after that, it all magically worked. i’m guessing something got corrupted in
   the db, or the upgrade went wrong.
