# 500 Internal Server Error on wp-comments-post.php

 * First off, this is not the same error that Internet Explorer users are encountering
   where they are reporting a blank page when trying to process an error message.
 * In my case, the comment is posted even though the 500 ISE is displayed.
 * Here is a link to my page, you can test it for yourself. Feel free to spam comments
   if you want to test, I’ll delete them later.

 * Any thoughts?
 * Edit: it appears that if I disable both options under “E-mail me whenever” then
   it works fine. E-mail server problem?

 * meanwhile you may try:
 * -deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem.
   If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the
   culprit.
 * -switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current
   theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back
   to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.
