 * Hi, I am getting the 500 Server error. I know that you will point me to your
   explanation of how to fix this, but there is no .htaccess or .htaccess.wppsb
   file present in either the downloaded zip file Or the github repo. Please reupload
   this file to the repo so I can fix my site asap!

 * [@tonykellyrdlabs](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tonykellyrdlabs/), Yes,
   both the files doesn’t ship with the plugin. `.htaccess` file has been created
   automatically when you install a WordPress and `.htaccess.wppsb` file has been
   created when you activate this plugin. `.htaccess.wppsb` is just a backup copy
   of `.htaccess` file.
 * You can find both the files by using FTP.
 * `.htaccess` file can be found in your WordPress installation root directory _(/
   public\_html in most of the cases)_ whereas `.htaccess.wppsb` file can be found
   under _(/public\_html/)_wp-content/wp-performance-score-booster directory.

 * I hope this helps.

 * Appreciate your fast response, I have managed to fix it with your advice.
 * For anyone else that might be confused in the future, I couldnt see the .htaccess
   files when I logged into my server by ssh, but they were there when I logged
   in via FTP. Not sure why this is, but the FTP method works anyway!
 * Excellent support, will note this in my review.

 * [@tonykellyrdlabs](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tonykellyrdlabs/), Glad
   that it’s sorted, and I really appreciate you take few minutes to submit a 5-
   star review.
 * In most of the cases, SSH default directory is _/ (root)_ whereas the default
   directory for FTP is _/public\_html_ (where your website files sits). This might
   be the reason you didn’t see `.htaccess` when you logged in using SSH.
