# 500 Server Error – Install.php

 * Windows NT SAFTEK2003 5.2 build 3790
    PHP Version 5.2.6 PHP Mem – 128m Safe Mode–
   off MySql – 5.0.51a IIS 6.0

    Administer server locally. Have two other php/mysql apps operating 
   within directory.
 * 1) Unzipped and Loaded WP in mydomain.com/blog folder.
    2) Created mysql database
   with proper username/pw and permissions. Can connect through odbc – for test.
   3) Checked directory permissions – same as other php/mysql installation. 4) Changed
   and renamed wp-config.php per instructions. – db name, id/pw correct. 5) When
   I attempt to run mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php… I get a 500 server error.
 * Not a memory problem… doesn’t appear to be a permissions problem. Any other ideas?

 * the secret key entry in the wp-config file contained a contracted word. Removed
   the apostrophe… now works.
