 * I’m at a loss and struggling with this… I keep getting lots of “503 Connection
Timeout error” at different times during the day and don’t know how to troubleshoot
this or get to the bottom of it… I don’t have very many plugins installed in
my wordpress and I do have a caching plugin (LiteSpeed)… My website (www.chaindlk.
com) and WP backend feel very slow and sluggish but it seems that anything I
do (even something as simple as processing the Postie plugin queue) can trigger
a 503 server timeout error… how can I troubleshoot this and avoid these timeout
   errors?
    Thank you

 * Thanks for that. I read it through. The problem is the article refers to a persistent
error whereas in my case it happens every once in a while (but too over, like
once a day or more) and then 30 min later the site is fine and I can’t trouble
shoot that by removing plugins because I don’t know when it will happen and even
if it happens removing plugins wouldn’t tell me if the server load just diminished
or if it was removing the plugins that fixed it.
There must be a way to find
out WHICH pluging or script is causing it and how to address it, no?

 * To find a plugin or theme conflict, please attempt to disable all plugins, and
use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them
one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
 * If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)

It will add some additional feature under create a new menu position Tools >
Site Health. On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode.
This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available),
allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, **without
affecting normal visitors to your site**. This allows you to test for various
compatibility issues. There’s a more detailed description about how to use the
Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at [https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/)

 * I have done all of this.
The problem is that I cannot replicate the 500/503
   errors, they just happen intermittedly
