# A Different Step 2 Problem

 * Hi,
 * I decided to take a fling with WordPress after hearing about the new version 
   released. I set it up on a shared server twice with no problems. Then I tried
   to put it on my dedicated server and the fun began. On Step 2 I get a blank page…
   no database tables are set up, no login generated, no MySQL error messages that
   I can find…just nothing. I’ve been through many of the other Step 2 posts here
   and this seems to be different. I’m using an admin-level MySQL database user 
   and password that I know works. And I created the database just fine in advance.
 * I’m on Linux with PHP 4.3.10 and MySQL 4.0.22 and thanks in advance for any help.
