Action rest_api_init doesn't exist?

Hi,

What happened to action hook rest_api_init? If I use this plugin there isn’t this action, however if download it from http://v2.wp-api.org/ then it’s fine.
I’m using composer from wpackagist which loooks into wp.org repo (so here) to manage plugins.
Is there any difference between this plugin and the one from wp-api.org? (you reference to those docs in this plugin’s description)
