Firstly, this is just a fantastic plugin. Highly recommend.

My question relates to when somebody comments (replies) to an activity feed item, and whether or not the functions of the BAP can be added to those replies>

Unfortunately it is not possible to add media attachment to comments with BuddyPress Activity Plus.
