# Active Directory Authentication

 * I am wanting to do Active Directory authentication for my users to gain access
   to my WordPress website (Private Intranet Type of Site). My Domain Controller(
   AD LDAP Box) is located on a secure network behind a firewall. Then my websites
   are located on a hosted platform elsewhere. There is no type of VPN or network
   to network connection of any sort. I am leary to open my firewall to this type
   of authentication but know this is the easiest way to authenticate my users without
   having to setup a new user/password for them. I have looked at the plugins but
   it seems to me they only will work if they are in the fact on the same network.
   Any direction is greatly appreciated. I am not a skilled programmer of sorts.
