 * I’ve been using Custom Field Template on my portfolio site for decades during
   which it has been actively maintained, as soon as WordPress core is updated, 
   Custom Field Template is if necessary. I see a few posts saying it’s confusing
   or hard to use, I’m not a developer, I’ve just learnt it as I go along, if I 
   can learn it, anyone can. If you want something that will hold your hand with
   a support forum then you might be better off paying for support with a paid for
   product but this does everything I’ve ever needed and has never once broken or
   let me down.
