# Activity log database update in progress…

 * 8 hours ago I have installed “WP Activity Log 4.4.2.1” and the “activity log 
   database update in progress” notification does not go away.
    After that, I just
   Delete the option wsal_meta_data_migration_info_440 from the wp_options table
   and the “activity log database update in progress” notification has disabled.
   So will this plugin work well? I want to clear up my confusion. And after a few
   minutes, the “activity log database update in progress” notification has been
   enabled again and the notification does not go away even after 1 hour or more…
   So now please help me out from here. Thank you

 * I am sorry to read about your issue. The upgrade process can take several hours,
   it depends on how many events you have in the activity log. Do you know roughly
   how many events you have? Or can you check what are the sizes of the activity
   log tables in the database?
 * The tables’ names are wp_wsal_metadata and wp_wsal_occurrences.

   see how many events did the upgrade process, check the status of the upgrade 
   process in the cron etc.

   Activity log database update in progress… is now disappeared. So let me test 
   for 24 hours to confirm whether this trick works or not.

 * I am glad to read that you managed to solve the issue. So apart from the banner
   not showing anymore, can you confirm that all the activity log data is shown 
   correctly and there are no “unknown” entries in the activity log?
 * In regards to the other plugin issue, we’ll look into it and we’ll get back to
   you as soon as possible.
