 * Hello again,
WordPress Activitypub works with attachment posts now, and it would
be great if MLA’s attachment tags worked in it.[https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/)

 * Thanks for your suggestion and for the links to Activitypub. I had a quick read
through the plugin description, but I am not sure I understand when you wrote“_**
it would be great if MLA’s attachment tags worked in it.**_” Can you give me
a more detailed description of what you have in mind? Thanks for your understanding
and any additional details you can provide.

 * The Activitypub plugin has option to use WordPress tags for articles, pages and
media posts. If i post an article an add tags in it, in Mastodon they show as#
tag1 #tag2. MLA’s Att. tags don’t work with it. Only WordPress native tags work
and media posts don’t have them.

 * I installed the Activitypub plugin and had a look through the code. The use of
WordPress Tags is hardcoded and there is no option to modify it or add other
taxonomies. There’s nothing MLA can do to add the Att. Tags taxonomy to Activitypub.
 * However, you can add support for the WordPress Tags taxonomy to your Media Library
items and then use them in Activitypub
    1. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab.
    2. Scroll down to the “Taxonomy Support” section.
    3. Find the Tags taxonomy in the list and select the MLA options you want for it.
The help text below the matrix explains each option.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes” to record your new settings.
 * If you want to copy the terms and term assignments from Att. Tags to the Tags
taxonomy you can use one of MLA’s example plugins as explained in this earlier
   topi:
 * [Taxonomy in the Assistant listing | WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/taxonomy-in-the-assistant-listing/#post-17240635)
 * I hope that gets you started on a solution for your application. I am marking
this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further
questions regarding the above suggestions. Thanks for your interest in MLA.
