    Hi Thomas,

thanks for your excellent work which makes ad placement so much easier for WordPress users like me.
But besides just putting ads somewhere on the site without any knowledge about best practices, I am keen to hear what you can tell me about optimization on my blog at https://unserbaublog.de

    Best regards,
    John

    Hi John,

    thanks for reaching out.

Nice framing, making your personal experience the topic of your blog!

Looks like you are already using affiliate links, which would also come to mind first. What is working better for you right now, Affiliate links or ads?

Regarding ads, I would, if you continue using them, place at least one more in the content. The top ad is often quickly scrolled away and the one below the content not reached. Use the Content placement in Advanced Ads to place at least one more ad after the 4th paragraph. It could also be the 5th, depending on the average length of the first paragraphs.

You could also remove the sidebar ad from smaller devices using the “device” visitor condition, because it gets lost when the sidebar breaks below the content on smaller devices.

An AdSense Matched Content ad might also work.

I hope this gives some inspiration.

    Thomas
