    Hello!

    I am longtime user of free version of the custom sidebars plugin and have been happy with the free functionality.

    I have noticed that there is a new version (3+) available for a while, with the release notes stating that the free version is now fully featured, but includes ads. I don’t think I need any now-freemium features.

    I have question – are the ads displayed only in the administration portal, or are they shown to the website users? I am perfectly happy with the former, but the latter is not acceptable for my use case. Not knowing this has kept me from updating to the newest version of the plugin.

    Are the ads displayed only in the administration portal, or are they shown to the website users?

    Thank you for your question. The WPMU DEV banner is showing up only on the admin dashboard. You can see it from Appearance > Widgets at the bottom. Please see attached screenshot:

    No banner is shown on the front end 🙂
