Hi, is it possible to add a field so that the customer who is entering his data during the purchase also enters the tax code so that we can have it available to issue invoices? Thanks in advance.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for your question.

By default, WooCommerce does not include a field for entering the tax code during checkout. However, you can add a custom field to the checkout page using a plugin or custom code.

You can try using a plugin like Checkout Field Editor (available on the WooCommerce extensions store) to add a custom field for the tax code. Alternatively, you can use the cusotm code to add the custom field.
For more details, you can refer to this article. https://developer.woocommerce.com/docs/customizing-checkout-fields-using-actions-and-filters/

If you need more in-depth support or want to consider professional assistance for customization, I can recommend WooExperts and Codeable.io as options for getting professional help. Alternatively, you can also ask your development questions in the  WooCommerce Community Slack as custom code falls outside our usual scope of support.

    Thank you

Hi, thanks for your help, would the Flexible Checkout Fields plugin be ok? Is it paid or does it have a free version? Thanks.

    Hi there!

You’re welcome! Yes, the Flexible Checkout Fields plugin could be a good choice for adding custom fields like the tax code to your checkout page. I haven’t personally tried it, but it appears to offer the features you’re looking for.

The plugin does have both a free version and a paid version. The free version covers basic functionality, and the paid version offers additional features like conditional logic and more advanced field types.

However, feel free to explore other plugins as well to see which works best for your needs. You can find more options in the WooCommerce Extensions store.

Let me know if you need any further assistance!
